When it’s right, you just know it. And Drew and Christina knew they loved Julius, the shelter German Shepherd mix, the minute they saw him.
After spending some time together on a Sunday, the couple left the Texas rescue filled with so many positive emotions. However, the memory of his sweet and playful demeanor stayed in their minds.
They thought that was the end of it until the rescue launched the “Clear the Shelters” pet adoption campaign, showcasing Julius as well.
That was enough for Drew to rush down to the rescue and wait for the event to open – ensuring he wouldn’t miss a chance to cross ways with his beloved boi again!

Julius had a blast with his recent visitors, but he could have never imagined that they would return – just for him!
The staff were dazzled by Drew’s gesture. They decided to have this sweet moment on camera, showcasing the couple and Julius crossing paths for the second time.
“Bumi, FKA Julius, is just one of many pets that found loving homes during #ClearTheShelters,” the shelter wrote on their social media.
“I’m here to see Julius. He’s a two-year-old Shepherd mix and I can’t wait to see him again. I showed up two-ish hours early, give or take. I want him to come home with me,” Drew said for APA.
Both Drew and Christina couldn’t hide their excitement at seeing this big furry boy again. From the moment they saw him and shared a few first cuddles, they were absolutely sure he was “their dog!”
As it turned out, Julius felt exactly the same!
Meant To Be
Julius recognized his buddies from a Sunday hangout and immediately rushed to shower them with love.
The three shared minutes of pure joy in front of the cameras, leaving thousands of Instagram viewers in awe!

Thanks to the APA adoption campaign, the couple finally found their soul dog – and Julius found his people.
Today, the trio continues to thrive through many exciting adventures, making each and every new day memorable.
